Tanki Online help in choosing weapon for begginers
« on: January 05, 2012, 10:43:39 pm »
Isida is undoubtedly the most useful tank gun among tier 1 weapons. In fact it is not really a gun, but a tool for fixing friendly tanks thus acquiring additional points in team battles. To encourage Isida players to heal their teammates they are given 50% more points for healing friendly tanks than for killing enemies. All the above means that Isida is meant for team modes like CTF or TDM and it is not really useful in Deathmatches.

Low-end Isida modifications lack firepower, but they are still good in healing. High-end Isida cannot match high-end modifications of tier 2 weapons in Tanki Online, but it can get the highest score in CTF and the majority of the battle fund. And though Isida is rather expensive compared to other tier 1 weapons, buying and upgrading Isida is a good investment.

In CTF Isida is used mostly to decrease friendly attacks on enemy flag and for capturing and carrying enemy flag back to base.

Since Isida is used mostly for healing (or repairing) friendly units, it requires fast moving tank hulls.

Wasp (and later on - Hornet) is definitely the best matching tank hulls for using with Isida in Tanki Online. Hornet + Isida is the best possible combination for escorting friendly attackers, helping them to capture the flag and return them back to base. Regardless to what hull your attackers are using, when playing on Hornet you'll be able to catch 'em up.

High-end Viking and Dictator hulls are less suitable for healing friendly tanks with Isida, but they are very good in drug wars. Good armor of these versatile tank hulls combined with vampirism of Isida makes this combination almost invincible when playing against unskilled players.

All other tank hulls lack speed and hence are considered unsuitable.

Unlike most other tier 1 weapons in Tanki Online, Firebird inflicts mass damage to groups of enemy tanks. This makes Firebird a serial killer right from the start. Best used on tight maps (e.g. Boombox), this turret is perfect for playing both DM and CTF games. In CTF it's great for surprisingly incinerating enemy defenders and capturing enemy flag.

Firebird requires no targeting skill and it is great for both DM and CTF games.

Try attacking enemies from behind, killing them before they can strike back. While Firebird recharges plan your next attack. A good Firebird player should always be on the move, travelling from one victim to another behind covers. Try being unnoticed. Avoid head-on attacks and retreat behind cover if necessary. Always be on the move and remember: motionless tanker with Firebird = dead tanker.

The faster your tank is the faster you'll reach the target and get your frag. Wasp is the best and the only choice for playing with Firebird. On higher ranks before switching to more effective tier 2 weapon you may try a new hull: Hornet. Wasp (or Hornet) + Firebird is also a perfect combination for capturing enemy flags in CTF, cos Firebird is a perfect weapon for quickly killing groups of enemy defenders.

Never use Titan or Mammoth with Firebird, you'll look stupid with it. Avoid using Hunter or Viking.
firebird advantages Firebird requires no targeting skill. If you don't feel like playing with Smoky, try switching to Firebird.
Firebird is a serial killer. Get multiple frags in mere seconds, incinerate groups of enemy tanks.
Perfect weapon for capturing enemy flags in CTF, can surely kill almost any tank on a battlefield. Of course that's only if you're playing with tankers having comparable ranks.
disadvantages20 meters of firing range isn't much.
Modifications M0-M1 require ages to reload.
Firebird has no recoil or physical effect on other tanks. You'll not be able to use recoil to jump from heights nor use Firebird to throw enemy tanks off course or flip them over.

Smoky is fun to play, but it requires skill to turn turret and raise / lower camera of better aiming. By the rank of Staff Sergeant (when you may upgrade Smoky to M3) you'll have three more awesome guns at your disposal, while mastering Smoky takes much more time. Though Smoky M3 surpasses any weapon available on Staff Sergeant, it will start loosing its potency soon enough and will become obsolete by the rank of Warrant Officer or even earlier.

All the above means that to have fun playing (and winning) with Smoky you'd better register another account when you feel you've got enough experience in Tanki Online. This way you'll definitely like it.
Best matching tanks with smokeyFree Wasp is a good choice. First of all it's free (and it's the cheapest tank hull in case you want to upgrade it to M3). Second - playing on Wasp is fun, especially with Smoky. And third - you'll be able to switch to Firebird which perfect for playing with Wasp and requires no targeting skill. While playing with Smoky use all your speed and agility to move from cover to cover and surprisingly attack your enemies. Don't participate in head-on fights, hide behind buildings and structures.
and soon other weapons information will come>
to be continued

New users will have to take a teir1 gun which is" Smoky,Firebird,Twins,Railgun and Isida" I say for the rank until warrent officer, beginners should save for Twins m3.... this is because it is the most efective gun against ShaftGun because when any gun aims for you it practically hits them of coarse try it out :D

Firebird with hunter is also useful because it can withstand twins and titan long enough to kill the titan. at low levels its not all about getting to the target as much as it is withstanding your opponents attacks while you attack. titan i agree is bad with firebird because of the extreme sloth-like ability it has. I would recomend firebird and hunter over wasp (even though i have m2 firebird and m3 wasp with it atm) at lower levels the titan and twins would always beat me and i see hunter firebird kill that same titan
